In 2017, the India Together Tour Company invited us on a research trip of a lifetime. We started by simply going along for the ride; taking notes, millions of photos and lapping up the rich culture and atmosphere that India is so famous for.

Back in the studio, we set our collective minds to work to develop a unified, visual language for India Together. To start we envisaged a hall mark inspired by flowers, carvings and vintage coins.

Relative to the comparatively homogenous street culture we’re accustomed to in the West, India is chaotic, and undoubtedly that is the heart of its appeal! The Salmon Khan (India together founder) came to StudioStudio to create a thoroughly cohesive communication strategy to enable their passengers to experience India’s wonders within the safe parameters of a supportive and user-centric design experience.

To conceptualise, we left no lotus flower unturned, undertaking a research sabbatical in northern India to experience the culture firsthand before delivering the naming, visual identity and wholistic communication strategy inspired by the hues of paprika, the prosperity of gold and the equanimity of the lotus lily.

While we’re thrilled with the vibrancy of the collateral we’ve achieved, it’s crucial to note that the experience we’ve designed only intendeds to whet your appetite.

To understand the true majesty of India, it’s essential to travel there first hand, as the scents, tastes and sheer unadulterated wonder of this ancient culture need to be experienced in all their Picante glory to be believed.
